Yerba Mate & Water Temp

As with most teas, Yerba mate is best when water is not brought to a full boil (100c, 212f)

That being said, we encourage you to experiment to find your preferences. Use this post as a guide.

To start, you may notice that every brand may suggest a different water temperature. This is a good starting point. Even so, different temperatures will yield different results. Here is a general guide, though it does vary by brand.

Ice Cold

Room Temp

Warm

Hot

Boiling

Though a thermometer is nice if you want to be precise with your experiments, there are other ways to tell approximate temperature. It does vary a bit by elevation.
